Now celebrating five years in business, we’re incredibly proud of what we’ve created. What started as a vision to build a rider-focused, community-driven bike shop has grown into a respected destination for mountain bikers across Yorkshire and beyond. This milestone reflects not just growth, but consistency – showing up every day with the same focus on quality service, honest advice and a welcoming environment.
As an independent, we’ve deliberately shaped Cycle Works Yorkshire around real rider needs. Every product we stock, every service we offer and every conversation we have is grounded in genuine experience on the trails. Our workshop is at the heart of the business – built on trust, transparency and attention to detail – helping customers get the absolute most from their bikes.
Community has always been central to what we do. From local rides to supporting new riders finding their confidence, we’ve worked hard to make the shop more than just a retail space. It’s somewhere people feel part of something.
Being nominated is especially meaningful because the journey hasn’t been without tough decisions. After nearly four years, we chose to close our second shop in Penistone in order to refocus, strengthen our core operation and ensure we continue delivering the standards we’re known for. It was a proactive step – one that positions us better for future growth, built on solid foundations rather than compromise.
