Supporting Statement:
I am nominating Ashley smith (the surrey bike mechanic) bike mechanic of the year! He is incredible, he quit his full time job to go all in on his dream of being a bicycle mechanic! He pitched his dream to Simon Squibb.. started the business by selling unwanted items, he works so hard from a gazebo in our garden. He’s worked through the cold winter and through the hot days. He’s on 80 five star google reviews!! He is so passionate about bikes, working on them and riding them! He is the best dad to our 3 boys, our youngest is 2, who’s already showing in interest in bikes so I’m sure one day he will be the best bike apprentice 🙂 Ash quitting his full time job wasn’t an easy decision.. but I know it will all be worth it and the dream of having his own bike repair/coffee shop will happen. He’s also taking part in a charity bike ride in September from London to Paris! We are just so super proud of him.
