Beryl Founder and Chairperson Emily Brooke MBE has played a huge role in bringing new and improved products to the UK cycling market in 2019. Emily was instrumental in the company’s third successful Kickstarter, to launch the Laserlight Core, which has brought Beryl’s cycling technology to a wider community of riders by providing high-quality innovative design at a more accessible price point. This was then followed by the launch of Beryl’s public bike share service. Beryl have re-imagined bikeshare by taking the freedom of movement from the dockless model and creating a positive shared service through the use of technological advancements in bay parking, operations, and importantly safety. Now up and running for public use in City of London, Bournemouth and Enfield, Beryl’s bike share is showcasing how bike share can operate in a city and be integrated into the daily lives of residents and visitors. Emily’s pursuit of Beryl being a force for social good in the UK cycling market has been recognised with the company being certified as a B Corp.
